Through visual arts, literature, music, theatre and cultural studies, children and teens aged 5 to 17 develop imagination, confidence and the ability to see the world from a broader perspective.
What we do
At United Art Academy, children experience art not as separate subjects, but as one interconnected cultural world. Art history, musicology, theatre studies, literature, sculpture, and puppetry complement one another and help students understand the connections between artistic forms, ideas, cultures, and historical periods.
Our goal is not only to teach children how to draw, perform, or make things with their hands. We teach them to see, understand, and interpret art — why it was created, what it expresses, and how it reflects history, culture, and human experience.
A special part of our program is dedicated to Armenian culture. Children explore Armenian literature, reading and writing in Armenian, history, traditions, important figures, and cultural heritage. Our goal is to help them understand their cultural roots and connect with them in a meaningful and contemporary way.
Knowledge becomes the foundation for creativity. Children draw, work with sculpture and form, create puppets, learn the art of puppet manipulation, participate in performances, and explore music, theatre, literature, and visual art through discussion and practice.
First comes understanding. Then comes expression.
Our mission goes beyond developing artistic skills. We build cultural awareness, aesthetic understanding, communication, independent thinking, and the ability to analyze and express ideas. Children learn not simply to look, but to see; not simply to listen, but to understand; and not simply to create, but to know what they want to say and why.
Every afternoon after school can offer a child more than just another activity. It becomes time for knowledge, cultural growth, meaningful creativity, and the development of their own way of seeing the world.
Core Program · Monday–Friday
Not five separate classes. Five interconnected disciplines where knowledge becomes practice, and practice becomes each child's own creative expression.
Children explore art history, artists, styles, periods, and artistic ideas while also developing practical skills in drawing, painting, composition, different techniques, and elements of sculpture. They do not only study works of art — they create their own, applying what they learn in meaningful ways.

Children discover composers, musical periods, styles, and important works, learning how to listen to and understand music with greater awareness. The practical component includes singing and choir work, so music becomes not only something they study, but something they actively experience together.

This program goes beyond acting. Children develop speech, diction, presentation skills, and confidence in front of an audience. They learn how to prepare and deliver a speech, conduct and participate in interviews, work in front of a camera, and take part in their own filming projects. They also participate in theatrical productions — from preparation and rehearsal to the final performance.

Children develop reading and writing skills in Armenian while exploring Armenian literature, history, traditions, important figures, and cultural heritage. Our goal is not simply to teach facts, but to help children understand their cultural roots, language, and history and maintain a meaningful connection to them.

Who runs the academy

United Art Academy was founded on the belief that art should not be taught as a collection of separate activities, but understood as one interconnected world of knowledge, culture, history, and creative expression.
Our integrated educational approach brings together visual arts and art history, music and musicology, theatre, speech and media, Armenian language and literature, cultural heritage, and puppet arts. Children do not simply learn techniques or participate in activities — they discover how different forms of art and culture connect, influence one another, and give meaning to creative expression.
Our goal is not only to develop artistic ability, but to nurture culturally educated, thoughtful, and intellectually independent young people who can see more deeply, ask meaningful questions, understand and value their cultural heritage, and express their own ideas with confidence.
Monday – Friday · 2:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Children can arrive at different times, as their school day allows.
2:30 – 5:00 pm
The first band starts straight after school, which is also when a meal fits best.
5:15 – 7:15 pm
7:30 – 9:30 pm
Every age group covers the same programme. What changes is how it is taught: each subject is pitched so that the children in that band can take it in.
Organised meals and food delivery can be arranged on request — useful if your child is also training at United MMA or dancing at United Dance Academy and goes straight from one to the other.
The academy can collect your child from school. Arrangements and cost are discussed during your consultation.
Tuition is discussed during your consultation, once we know which programme and age group suits your child.
Students of the academy receive special rates on dance classes and on the sports sections at Union MMA.

Student work
The first works come off the easels, out of the workshop and onto the stage once the studios open. This is where they will be shown.
